🧨🍦 The Wednesday Peak City Scoop is explosive🍦🧨

Happy July 3rd, the jury is out....will there be a fireball???!!!

🧨Good morning, Apex! This Peak City Scoop is coming at you like a roman candle fired at you by your buddy Jason in the cul de sac in 1987…

This scoop is brought to you by:

The cutest bakery in the Peak! Crumb & Cream

🍦 In today’s Peak City Scoop

Was last years Fireworks Frenzy Fireball (say that 10 times fast) on purpose? Will it happen again? Last year’s Fireworks Frenzy left a lot of neighbors wondering if the fireball was on purpose or if it was planned. Well, it turns out that the fireball was, indeed, a part of the show. But this video of a dad scooping up his toddler shows that in the moment, there was a little concern 😳 (oh, and there’s also me in the background 🤣)

❤️ Mayor Gilbert shows what Apex is all about when a neighbor in need reaches out for help. There is a lot that makes Apex the peak of good living but it’s the community and the people at the foundation of all of it. When Mayor Jacques Gilbert learned of a member of the Apex community facing homelessness he took action AND got results. Read more…

Crumb & Cream is located at 55 and Upchurch in the back of the shopping center! It’s the adorable polka dot trailer that makes you happy just looking at it!

Crumb & Cream Bakery is a walk up, family-run bakery and coffee shop in a converted RV in downtown Apex. They specialize in all sorts of treats including bars, cookies, waffles, coffee, and custom cakes for celebrations. They also offer cake decorating parties and workshops to combine learning with delicious scratch-made treats. Stay tuned for events and specials and follow them on IG!

FIELD TRIP! 🚌
Zin Wine Bar and Yoga Studio Garner, NC
This place is a hidden oasis. There’s a breezeway with chill music playing. A wine bar with an articulated selection of really good wine that’s reasonably priced and the owner, Kara, might be the nicest person I’ve ever met. She cares about community and fostering a place where all feel welcome. I just had wine, no yoga this time. Next time, maybe wine AND yoga. You can’t do both at the same time but sips after ohms is recommended! Stay tuned for events coming soon!

EXTRA SPRINKLES 🧁
Peak Lab Rescue is one of our favorites (primarily because they bring puppies to Southern Peak Brewery all the time so I can hold a puppy and drink beer…it’s like heaven). If you can’t rescue an adorable new family member, they have an Amazon wish list full of things they need! As of 4 days ago, Paisley and Yankee still need a home!

Thanks for reading! If there’s anything that made you smile or made you want love Apex even more, share this with someone named Jason…just make sure there are no roman candles around!

Sincerely,
Stephanie
