Wake County organizes virtual Hazard Mitigation meeting for members of the community 

Join Wake County officials virtually on August 21 at 6:00 p.m. to talk about the updates happening to our Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan considers what types of dangers exist in our area and works on lessening or preventing them. Feedback from our community members is key to the plan's success!

Eyes up for buses as school gets into full swing

Several area schools are already back in session and Wake County Public Schools’ first day is on Tuesday 8/27. With a consistent influx of new residents in Wake County, there are sure to be a lot of kids at a lot of bus stops. Some of them getting on the bus for the first time. Make sure you give yourself extra time to get to work next week to avoid the frustration of extra travel time and to make sure that everyone stays focused on safety.
