Fishing Tips and Regulations Before heading out, make sure to check the local fishing regulations and obtain the necessary fishing licenses. Each lake may have specific rules regarding catch limits, boat usage, and fishing methods. Additionally, early morning and late afternoon are typically the best times to fish, as the fish are more active during these cooler parts of the day.
