FOR THE LOVE OF BREAD…IN APEX
According to the Apex Development Map, LaFarm has applied for rezoning of 202 S. Salem St. for the potential future location of a LaFarm. Specific documents can be found at Apexnc.org. The application includes mention of a drive through and rooftop development. Eating fresh baguettes on the roof in the fall at sunset. It’s what dreams are made of.

A DOOZY OF A THUNDERSTORM
Wednesday night storms rolled through Apex around 10pm and left many without power. Thousands were in the dark and within hours (even earlier than anticipated!) the lights are back on. If you haven’t thanked an Apex lineman lately, make sure you do! For more information about power outages or to report one, click here.

A LITTLE LIBRARY CREATES A BIG IMPACT
Residents of Haddon Hall decided to come together to restore a little library with lots of heart. The original little library was constructed in memory of a neighbor who had passed away and was maintained in part by another neighbor who passed in 2023. Funds were collected to replace the library with one that is easier to maintain. A rock painting party is being scheduled along with a opening ceremony once the new installation is complete.
There was an incredible response to the fundraising organized by neighbors. So big that there were leftover funds donated to Note in the Pocket. This local organization gives new or gently used clothes to Wake County schoolchildren suffering from clothing insecurity and puts a note in their mini new wardrobes, reminding the children they are loved.
