Charley Madelyn Boutique Hosts Fashion Show with a Purpose

Last night, Charley Madelyn Boutique, the faith and fashion-forward store in downtown Apex, lit up the sidewalk with a heartwarming fashion show that showcased more than just style—it was an evening full of purpose and community spirit. The boutique, owned by Chelsea Jennette, carries a deeply personal connection to the IVF journey, as she and her husband went through their own path to create their now family of six. This emotional bond shone through the event, reminding everyone in attendance of the beauty in both fashion and faith. Even the Apex Fire Department had front row seats and applauded the models from across the street.

The fashion show took place right outside the boutique, with ticket proceeds benefitting The Diaper Train, a Raleigh-based nonprofit located at 616 Tucker Street. The Diaper Train helps combat diaper poverty, a critical issue in Wake County where government assistance does not cover the cost of diapers. Sherry Presnall, Development Coordinator for The Diaper Train, attended the event and shared more about this pressing need and the impact the nonprofit is making in the community.

In addition to ticket sales supporting The Diaper Train, 10% of last night’s sales went directly to a local family currently navigating their own IVF journey. Chelsea also took the time to speak about the importance of giving back, and how her boutique is committed to making a difference in the lives of others.

But the generosity didn’t stop there! Every attendee received a swag bag filled with fun and thoughtful items like headbands, keychains, and eye masks. After the show, the store was buzzing with excitement as guests shopped, enjoyed sweet treats, and sipped sparkling drinks—knowing they were contributing to something much bigger than themselves.

The Apex community is like no other. A stroll down Salem Street won’t just have you window shopping and stopping for a beer, it will introduce you to a community of business owners that aren’t advertising the latest trends but looking for ways to make our community an even better place.
