Labor Day in the Peak!

Labor Day, observed on the first Monday in September, is a yearly celebration of the social and economic accomplishments of American workers. The holiday traces its origins to the late nineteenth century when labor activists advocated for a federal holiday to honor the significant contributions workers have made to the nation's strength, prosperity, and well-being.

The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City. By 1894, 23 more states had adopted the holiday, and on June 28, 1894, President Grover Cleveland signed a law making the first Monday in September of each year a national holiday.

Enjoy delicious @hightopburger food truck, listen to live music with Mike Davis who will be playing a variety of genres, and of course, catch some Waves shave ice and real fruit ice cream/soft serve. We’ve got lawn games, table games, and lots of space at The Family Farm to spread out and enjoy the views and animals. Bring the whole neighborhood!

Saving Grace Labor of Love Open House and 20th Anniversary Celebration
Join our Labor of Love Open House & Donation Drive to celebrate our 20th year of rescuing dogs in need! We'll have fun foods and ice cream, a scavenger hunt, face painting and LOTS of adorable, adoptable dogs to greet you in our glorious gardens! Come celebrate 20 years of rescue and the legacy of love that Saving Grace has created.
