It's 🐫 Day in the Peak!

It was an early morning for Wake County Public School students yesterday as the school routine got back into full swing.
With several schools experiencing delays, Superintendent Dr. Robert Taylor didn’t seemed concerned according to ABC 11 news. He told the news station that “as far as staffing goes, they are in better shape than last year, but you'll see hiccups this first week.”

There were concerns over the summer that bus resources would not be sufficient for the 24/25 school year and parents received requests to report whether their kids would be using the bus system. This led to worried parents that transportation would be interrupted or potentially not even available. However, the district has 578 drivers which is more than last year.

I guess it just takes a little bit of time to get in the groove. Happy School Year everyone!

Go Raleigh Resumes Fares September 1st

Fares were waived in the month of August if riders used the UMO app. Fares will reinstate on September first and can be viewed on the Raleigh Government website.

Payment options for passengers include new digital ticketing and a convenient pass for income qualified riders to ride fare-free. Youth (ages 13-18) and seniors (ages 65 and older) will still ride free (as they did pre-pandemic) after they enroll in one of the GoPass programs that allows them to use the UMO digital ticketing platform.

Don’t worry Apex, Go Apex Routes are still free, but double check Cary and Triangle routes before you hop on as some of those are reinstating fees as well. Read more here.
